LET ME IN

Remake of Swedish movie "Let the right one in" was good. Beautifully shot in snow.

Walkabout

Beautifully shot, arty movie. I loved it !

The aboriginal actor was great. I checked him on imdb afterward, that this movie was his debut and he developed his acting career continuously up to present day. The dancing scene was vivid and sensational, which was his original. Later he was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal in the 2001 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to service to Australian society through dance and acting.

Location is exceptional. Desert and red earth are something extraordinary. You will definitely satisfy after watching this.

HARI Therapy

I will start working from next week. It's nice to have routine in your life after a long long holiday. I'm excited to work in a new clinic with new people with new patients ! My work is unusual as I don't really have colleague like normal office work but the place I'm working seems to have good team, a gathering of freelance therapists.

My site is upgraded !

The Social Network

I watched The Social Network in the starlight cinema in St. Leonards oval. It was unfortunately a cool evening but a cup of coffee and bean sofa helped.

The movie was brilliant ! I actually did not catch up about a half of the dialogue (especially in the scenes in the court) but enjoyed how the story develops in fast speed. "Moving on quickly" portrays the whole theme of this movie, about making new internet business at young age.

I'm not techie at all and blogging is just at the edge of my technological ability so am amazed how one person, one idea can actually change the world and make a vast amount of money. Plus I liked the Harvard University's school hall. Is it that nice in real ?

Dress Making

My long term ambition, dress making course will start this week !!!
I spent loooong time choosing fabrics and patterns in this very friendly shop "tessuti". I picked this reversible (strips / dots) fabric for making a dress. Actual sewing part is fun but setting up sewing machine is such a pain. I will carry my mum's machine to the course this week and learn all the basic skills.

Botany Bay

Beautiful Botany Bay where Captain James Cook arrived in 1770.
Spots and cracks are probably made by rains and water dropping over many many years.

Sydney

Sydney

Black Swan

I waited for so long to the release of this movie. My gut feeling was telling that I must watch it and should like it. I loved it but Joel didn't....although he thought it was a good movie. Natalie Portman was a perfect casting for the role and very convincing as a neurotic ballerina. Very powerful so you might feel bit spaced out after watching it !

Ballerina is such a mysterious occupation for me. I kind of understand how they become so obsessive about everything. They seem to sacrifice a way more than one occupation demands ! My childhood dream was to be a ballerina but glad that I'm an acupuncturist...
